I was in a country band named "The Cumberland Mountain Band" from 1993-1997. We were voted "Chicago's Favorite Country Band" by the readers of Country Post magazine May 1993. In Nov. 1995 we were voted "Vocal Group of the Year" by Tracker Magazine. Jeff Huskins, formerly of Little Texas produced our album, "Dancin' Fools" and played fiddle as well, Sept. 1993. We had 2 #1 hits on the Tracker independant list, (Dancin' Fools and Gone Long Gone, Goodbye) and one #2 "You Mighta Been Right" as well. We were also featured on "TNN Country News" in 1997. I have been a song writer since 1989 and my influences are Little Texas, Lonestar, Tim McGraw, Matchbox 20, Jim Brickman and the Eagles - tight vocal harmonies and cutting-edge music and hooks.
